(AUGUSTA, GA) — E-Z-GO, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, has named Ron Draper its Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain. Draper will be responsible for all aspects of the E-Z-GO manufacturing organization, from procurement and sourcing of components to manufacturing and delivery of completed vehicles.
Draper previously served as Director of Strategic Sourcing for E-Z-GO. Under his leadership, E-Z-GO achieved world-class status, becoming the lowest-cost procurement organization of all Textron business units. Draper also oversaw the streamlining of E-Z-GO’s supplier base and dramatic enhancements to supplier quality, delivery and cost.
“Ron has a proven record of premier performance and excellent leadership here at E-Z-GO,” said Kevin P. Holleran, president of E-Z-GO. “He is well positioned and experienced to lead our ISC organization to the next level of operational excellence.”
“I am pleased to step into this new role leading E-Z-GO’s ISC organization,” Draper said. “I look forward to advancing the progress that E-Z-GO has made in improving its supplier relationships and manufacturing excellence, so that we continue to deliver a high-quality product to our customers on time, every time.”
Draper joined Textron in 1999 in Cessna’s Strategic Sourcing Group. He moved to Bell Helicopter in 2004 as director of the $600 million V-22 procurement program, and also worked in a marketing and business development role interacting directly with and serving customers.
Before joining Textron, Draper served as a U.S. Army officer for more than eight years around the globe. He was Aviation Company Commander of a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter company with 16 officers, 20 mechanics, and eight UH-60L helicopters supporting the 18th Airborne Corps. Accountable for $40 million in equipment, Draper was recognized as the best company commander of the five in the battalion.
Draper earned a Masters of Business Administration from Wichita State University and a Bachelors of Science in engineering management from the United States Military Academy.
